Deep-sea fishing on the west coast of Sweden
Love fishing? Ramsvik is the perfect choice for your next fishing holiday.
Bohuslän is particularly good for deep-sea fishing because of the many different fish species that live here – and the exciting sea trout fishing in particular. Apart from this attractively spotted trout, you can also fish for cod, mackerel, saithe, bleak, whiting, Ballan wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, greater weever, European plaice, European flounder, dab and turbot, but even more unusual species like Atlantic catfish and lumpfish are caught from time to time.
Fishing trips
We organise deep sea fishing trips together with Smögen’s Fiske- och Skärgårdsturer, which has experienced personnel and a number of different vessels.
Useful information
Ramsvik and the waters around it offer everything from shallow sandy bays, muddy seafloors with mussel beds and stony areas with plenty of seaweed, to steep, fish-rich rocks with a height of 20-30 metres and hollows with deep, steep sides.
The holiday village is in a sheltered location on the eastern side of the Ramsvikslandet peninsula and has its own sandy beach with shallow water. Many of the nearby islands offer sheltered places to fish, whatever direction the wind blows.
There are great rocks for land-based angling, spinning and fly fishing all around the local area, and accessibility is good. Many fishing sites are within walking distance of the holiday village; if you have access to a car, there are many more within a few kilometres.
If you prefer fishing from a boat, there are several sites with varying characteristics to choose from in the close vicinity of the holiday village.
Boat rental
Ramsvik rents out motorboats with small outboard engines that are easy to operate. The boats are powered by environmentally friendly four-stroke engines of 6 or 9.9 hp. Starting instructions are provided. Life vests for all the family can be borrowed free of charge.
Launching ramp
If you bring your own boat, we have boat berths for rent and there is a launching ramp in Hunnebostrand.
