Family Fun by the Sea - Holiday package at Ramsvik
The New York Times has listed Ramsvik as one of 52 places in the world they recommend going to by 2020.
Stay 3 nights in a cosy Boathouse Cottage within 100 metres from the sea, including breakfast buffet and dinner on 3 days. All the family get tickets for Nordens Ark (park with animals threatened by extinction) and Havets Hus (sea life aquarium in Lysekil). The children are given all the equipment they need to enjoy crabbing from the pier at Ramsvik, including a bucket and a net – and they can eat as much ice cream as they like in our ice cream café during your stay. We also take care of the end-of-stay cleaning.
The package includes:
Day 1: Arrival at Ramsvik Holiday Village & Camping where you check into your Boathouse Cottage. The children are given their crabbing equipment (bucket, net and rod) and an armband that entitles them to as much ice cream they like, whenever they like. You are also given tickets to Havets Hus and Nordens Ark. Evening meal in Ramsvik’s restaurant with amazing sea views. You find your bed sheets and towels in your cottage.
Day 2: Breakfast buffet at Ramsvik’s restaurant. Why not take a trip to Nordens Ark, the animal park that protects species threatened by extinction. See the fascinating Amur tigers, snow leopards and other animals. Younger children usually enjoy the Farm, where they meet Gotland rabbits, cows of the traditional Swedish Mountain Breed, and old-fashioned Gute sheep. All these breeds are threatened by extinction. Bring a picnic basket or have lunch in the restaurant at Nordens Ark. Dinner at Ramsvik’s restaurant in the evening.
More energy left after Nordens Ark? Explore nature at Ramsvik, a beautiful nature reserve, also called the Kingdom of the Rocks, with several easily accessable hiking trails. We particularly recommend the White trail, a 4 km hike that is fun for the whole family.
Day 3: Breakfast buffet at Ramsvik. Why not spend the day in Lysekil, where you can visit Havets Hus. Havets Hus has more than 100 interesting marine species, from small-spotted catshark to dead man’s fingers. All are native to, or found in, the local area. Touch starfish and hermit crabs and walk through the tunnel tank, surrounded by water, spiny dogfish, cod, and conger eels. Stop off in Smögen in the afternoon and enjoy delicious fish and shellfish from one of the restaurants along the famous pier. Evening dinner at Ramsvik’s restaurant.
Day 4: Breakfast buffet with sea views in Ramsvik’s restaurant. Check-out at 11.00. We take care of the end-of-stay cleaning of your cottage.
There is a lot of fun to do in Ramsvik whith your family. Eplore the nature reserve by the hiking trails. Explore the archipelago by canoe, kayak, water bike or motorboat. Test your balance on a SUP board. Take a trip by canoe or water bike to the nearest island of Söö and go on a discovery trip. Take a nice sauna together and jump into the sea from the jetty outside the sauna. Sit on a rock in the nature reserve and watch the sun go down into the sea.

The price varies depending on the season and availability. The cheapest price is usually on weekdays in May and September and the most expensive is in the middle of summer, in week 29-31.

The basic price applies to a family with 2 adults and 2 children up to 12 years of age and it is possible to add more adults and children for a price supplement. Are you fewer than 2 adults and 2 children? Or do you have children of other ages? Contact us via email info@ramsvik.nu or telephone 0523-503 03, and we will adjust the package for you.
The basic price includes 3 overnight stays and this is also the minimum number of nights you can book, but it is possible to book more nights.
The basic price includes overnight stays in a Sjöbodstuga 6 beds. The cabin is 13 square meters plus a 13 square meter sleeping loft. In the sleeping loft there are 4 mattresses that lie on the slatted base. Downstairs in the cabin, the sofa in the dining area can be converted into a double bed (140 x 200 cm). The cottage is equipped with a shower, toilet and kitchen.
If you want to live more comfortably, you can upgrade your accommodation to a Västkuststuga for an additional price. The Västkuststugan is 45 square meters with two separate bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds and a bunk bed). The cottage has a kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom with shower and wc. Contact us by email info@ramsvik.nu or phone 0523-503 03 if you want to upgrade to a Västkuststuga.
Breakfast and dinner are included in the package.
The breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant every morning at 8.00-10.30.
The dinners included in the package are any main course from the restaurant's menu.
On some Saturdays, the restaurant is closed for weddings. Then the food can be delivered to your cabin.
Ramsvik's family package is best suited for families with children aged 2-12.
In July and early August, there can be long queues for Nordens Ark and Havets Hus.
Welcome to book with us! Fill in the dates below, and you will be taken directly to our online booking. You will receive a booking confirmation via email. The payment date is indicated on the booking confirmation. Payment is always made in advance and can be made via card payment or bank transfer.
Once you have made a payment to us, the booking is binding. Any cancellation must be made via personal contact with us via telephone 0523-503 03 or e-mail to info@ramsvik.nu. Our refund rules are the same if you get sick, get prevented or simply regret it.
In case of cancellation no later than 14 days before your arrival: You get the entire rent back with the exception of SEK 500.
In case of cancellation later than 14 days before your arrival: No refund. If the stay is cancelled, no refund will be given for the days you do not use the rented object.
When purchasing cancellation protection, you can cancel freely with a full refund (with the exception of the cancellation protection) until 10 a.m. on the day of arrival.
You have access to the cottage from 3pm. Check-out no later than 11am.
Dogs love Ramsvik. They like to walk in the nature reserve, there is a swimming bay with a sandy beach where dogs can swim and we have a special dog shower.
Several cottages are allowed for pets. There are also cabins where dogs are not allowed and these are suitable for allergy sufferers. State that you have pets when you make your reservation, and you will get the right cabin.
Dogs must be on a leash in the area and rest in the nature reserve. They are not allowed on the beach.
Pets are not allowed at Nordens Ark and Havets Hus.
