Ramsvik Stugby & Camping is a family-owned holiday resort founded by Lars-Åke Backlund (also known as LÅB) in 1959. Today, Ramsvik is owned by his son, Torbjörn Backlund, who runs Ramsvik Stugby & Camping together with his family as the second generation of the Backlund family.
Is Ramsvik family-friendly?
Yes. Ramsvik is ideal for families with children, with swimming areas, beautiful nature and a peaceful seaside location.
How far is Ramsvik from Smögen?
Ramsvik is approximately 15 minutes from Smögen by car.
Can I rent a kayak?
Yes. Kayaks are available to rent at Ramsvik Stugby & Camping, as well as SUP boards, pedal boats, motorboats, rowing boats and canoes. Rentals are available from May to September.
Are there pet-friendly cabins?
Yes. Many of our cabins and all of our camping pitches at Ramsvik are pet-friendly.
What activities are available nearby?

What types of cabins are available at Ramsvik?
Ramsvik Stugby & Camping offers several different types of cabins, ranging from simple camping cabins to fully equipped family cabins with private showers and toilets. Our smallest cabins sleep two people, while the largest sleep up to seven. All cabins are located close to the sea and have their own outdoor seating area.
Do the cabins at Ramsvik have toilets and showers?
Most cabins at Ramsvik Stugby & Camping have their own shower and toilet. Some of our simpler cabins do not have private bathroom facilities, in which case guests can use the modern service buildings located nearby.
Are pets allowed at Ramsvik?
Yes. Pets are welcome in many of our cabins at Ramsvik Stugby & Camping. Simply choose a pet-friendly cabinwhen making your booking.
Can I book a specific cabin?
We always try to accommodate requests, but we cannot guarantee a specific cabin number. Please include your preferences when booking and we will do our best to accommodate them.

When is Ramsvik open?
Ramsvik Stugby & Camping is open from spring to autumn, usually from April to September. Our restaurant is open every day throughout the season, while the activities available vary depending on the time of year.
What is Ramsvik’s cancellation policy?
When booking at Ramsvik Stugby & Camping, you can choose which booking conditions you prefer. You can choose a flexible cancellation option or an option that allows you to change your booking but does not provide a refund if you cancel.
Is there a minimum number of nights I have to book?
Only during the Midsummer period and the Icebug Xperience event. At other times, you are free to book as few or as many nights as you wish.

Is there a restaurant at Ramsvik?
Yes! The restaurant at Ramsvik Stugby & Camping is located right by the beach and offers fantastic sea views. We serve a breakfast buffet, lunch, dinner, à la carte dishes and ice cream, all in a relaxed seaside setting.
Can I prepare my own meals?
Of course. All cabins at Ramsvik have cooking facilities, and there are several barbecue areas around the resort.
Is there a shop at Ramsvik?
Yes. We have a small grocery shop offering everyday essentials as well as ice cream, sweets, snacks, drinks, breakfast items and simple food.

Yes! Ramsvik Stugby & Camping is located in the Ramsvikslandet Nature Reserve, which offers fantastic hiking trails through the distinctive rocky coastal landscape of Bohuslän.

Yes. All of our camping pitches have electricity.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.
Can I drive my car into the resort?
Yes, but most cars are parked outside the main accommodation area to help create a peaceful and child-friendly environment. You may drive to your accommodation for loading and unloading when necessary.
How do I get to Ramsvik?
Ramsvik is located just north of Smögen. Follow the signs towards Hunnebostrand and then Ramsvik.
